• Who we are?

This website is the property of "Righters", a small enterprise from Bucharest, European Union.

Prior to Hikiwi we launched a similar website in Romania, EU: Trompeta.ro ("The Trumpet"). Now, The Trumpet is one of the best known Romanian free classifieds websites. We also have participations in several Canadian and USA websites, not classifieds related.

Using the experience gained with "The Trumpet", we decided to launch several international websites. The first is Hikiwi.co.nz. We decided to launch it in New Zealand because we thought that the market here lacks competition and the Kiwis should deserve to have several options to choose from for online classifieds websites. We wanted to provide all the Kiwis with a free, user friendly classifieds website. No registered account is required in order to post ads, so there is no fear for stollen passwords or identities. Users are free to ad or delete their ads, at any time, based on the single and simple activation email. The activation links are secured with MD5 encrypt techniques and it is virtualy impossible to access another user's ads control panel.

• Not another "auctions website"

Hikiwi.co.nz isn't an auction website, such as Trademe.co.nz or Sella.co.nz . Although we acknowledge the superior approach of this type of websites when it comes to online commerce, we still believe that many areas of a functional economy cannot be covered by an auction website. For example, a small entrepreneur will always prefer to showcase his/her skills by placing a well written ad. A small business will always need a place where to advertise its current empty positions. And so on.

• Mission

Since our business is not physically located on New Zealand soil, in order to fulfill our goals we'll use modern tactics such as SEM, SEO and SMM. Thus, we'll create visibility not only for our website, but for our users' ads, too. Our goal is to ensure that every small business owner and every Kiwi contractor will publish his/her ads and have instantly the chance to be known by the Kiwis online.

In order to keep this website only for the Kiwis, we are now blocking the access from several spam-generating countries, including Nigeria.
